Surgical camp in Chad from 12 to 25 November 2026
A two-week camp organized by Fondation Sentinelles and AEMV, with the participation of Hilfsaktion Noma e.V and on invitation of the CHU Mère et Enfant of N’Djamena.
A plastic and reconstructive surgery camp to treat noma sequelae, burn scars and other facial deformities will take place from 12 to 25 November 2026 at the CHU-Mère et Enfant hospital in N’Djamena.
This camp is the third one organized by Fondation Sentinelles in partnership with the AEMV and on invitation of the CHU-Mère et Enfant hospital in N’Djamena. Hilfsaktion Noma e.V. is also participating in this initiative.
Approximately 30 surgeries will be performed over ten days on patients from Chad, mainly children, in collaboration with local surgeons.
This camp is also an integral part of the noma surgery training program that 10 African surgeons have been following since spring 2026. Three of them will participate in the camp as trainees to continue their training in this complex surgery.
